Easter

Tobias celebrated his first Easter last month and he had fun! He got some cool new toys from the Easter bunny, a.k.a Grandma and Grandpa, that you can see here.

9 Months old

Tobias is now 9 and a half months old actually. He is so much fun! most of the time :) He definitely has his moments, but he is a very good baby. We are very blessed.
As you can see in this picture, Tobias had a very rough day. He had been cutting his fifth and sixth teeth so he wasn't very happy and wasn't sleeping much so he was so tired. I gave him a piece of apple to suck on (that's what's in the blue net thing) and I walked out of the room for a minute and when I can back he was like this. Totally zonked. poor guy. It was pretty funny though!

So when it finally stopped raining for about five minutes...okay it was more like half a day, but it seemed like only five minutes, I jumped at the oportunity to get outside so I took T to the park right by our house where he tried the baby swings for the second time and he likes it. It's relaxing for him to swing and watch the older kids play. He usually starts falling asleep when I put him in it. So when he's teething and is really fussy, that usually does the trick to calm him down.






At the park he also had his first experience with grass. He wasn't quite sure what to think of it. I don't think he liked the wa it felt on his legs because he kept trying to bat it away.

Soon after this, the rain clouds started coming back in. So that was our last park adventure for a while :(








Tobias has graduated from sink baths to the real bath tub! He thinks it's great. He loves his baths and it's good thing because he needs them a lot!

8 Months old...almost

Tobias is almost 8 months old and he is getting so big! He is eating rice cereal three times a day now and he can sit on his own. He also has four teeth. Two on the bottom and two on the top. Here, he's playing with his "Treasure Chest" that he got for Christmas from Aunt Niki, Uncle Justin, and cousin Emily. He LOVES it. The turkey baster is one of his favorite items in the box. I'll explain the pillow barracade later.

He couldn't decide which toy looked better to chew on so he picked both!













Ah yes, it was only a matter of time because he discovered the Playstation. This is why I had to make the pillow barracade. He's become quite fond of speaker wires and vieo game controllers. I thought we had at least another 10 years before he would be interested in video games!

Tobias is also very fond of backing himself up under the couch. I have no idea why he is so drawn to the couches, but he often ends up like this.















Just like his dad, T loves to read.

We got him this little net thing with a handle on it that holds a piece of fruit or veggie and he sucks on it to get the juice the out. He really likes it and it keeps him busy long enough for me to eat a meal.

Adventures in eating

Tobias got his first High chair two nights ago. He loves sitting in it and playing with his rubberized baby spoons. He's eating rice cereal now as his first solid food. He just eats it once a day, for breakfast. However, the only way I can get him to eat it is if he has his own spoon to play with while I feed him with another spoon. He also likes to drop all his spoons on the ground so we go through about four spoons by the end of the meal. It's fun :)

Tobias is 7 months old

Tobias is getting more and more energetic everyday. He is so smily and loves to laugh and get into things. he rolls all over the place. He makes lots of fun noises that resemble screeching birds and dolphin squeaks. One of his favorite things is paper. I don't why, but he loves all kinds of paper. We're taking him to get his first shot tomorrow for Polio which I am nervous about. I was going to try and avoid vaccines as much as possible, but I decieded to go ahead and do this one after much thought. We'll see how it goes.































So I was talking to the pediatritian about how to help Tobias sleep better and she suggested getting him attatched to a "Lovey" and that would help to comfort him when he wakes up at night and I'm not there. So we got "Lovey Bunny". He seems to like it, he sucks on bunny's ears when he goes to sleep. It's very cute.

Justin's 30th

Justine turned the big 3-0!! we had a great time with friends and family. We had pizza, cake, and went roller skating, which most of us hadn't done since we were 12 so it was fun! T is getting ready to cowboy up for the party.

Tobias is on the Move!

T is rolling all over the place! We can no longer leave in a room by himself for more than a minute. He has discovered everything on the floor from electrical chords to dust bunnies. So I guess it's time to baby-proof the house!











I turned by back for two minutes and when I turned back, this is what I found. Tobias managed to wedge himself under the entry-way table. He's fond of doing this under the couch too.













Another fun thing that T has discovered is ripping apart magazines. He thinks that's great fun.














He has also figured out where the magazines live and how to pull them out!

Tobias' half birthday!

On December 30th Tobias turned 6 months! How time flies. He's getting pretty good at sitting, but he can't do it totally on his own yet.















We've been experimenting with eating rice cereal as his first solid food, but he doesn't quite get it yet.














I guess it was too bright out for Tobias to sleep so he pulled the shade over his eyes :)

Christmas Day
