Last week we went to the Oakland Zoo with Emily and her three kids who are best buds with Tobias and Kiernan. It was exhausting, but fun! Here's Tobias, Alex, and Kaitlyn.

They have a really cool kid area at the Oakland Zoo. This was part of it. They got to hop across lily pads over to a play area. They loved it and thankfully no one fell in the water!

August Adventures in food

I decided to try and make some fun Popsicles this summer, which the boys loved. These are make with yogurt, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and blueberries.

I've also been diving deeper into the world of raw food, trying to make more creative things. So last week we ate all raw food for a few days. It was fun, but a lot of work! Above is a picture of the coconut flax cakes with vanilla bean sauce and bananas. They were great for breakfast or a hearty snack.

This is just a chopped a salad. Simple, but yummy!

This is raw "polenta" with a mushroom ragout sauce.

This is "Rawzania". The picture is bad, but it was very tasty. I had to use orange tomatoes for the sauce instead of red so it looks a little weird :)

this is a raw Brazil and Hazel nut cake with carob frosting. Very Rich!
